मिस इंग्लंड असल्याचे विसरुन कोरोनाग्रस्तांच्या सेवेसाठी पुढे आली भारतीय डॉक्टर

कोरोना व्हायरसशी लढण्यासाठी डॉक्टर स्वतःचा जीव धोक्यात घालून पुढे येऊन काम करत आहेत. काही दिवसांपुर्वीच मूळ भारतीय वंशाचे असलेले आयर्लंडचे पंतप्रधान लिओ वराडकर हे पुन्हा एकदा डॉक्टर म्हणून काम करण्यास सुरूवात केली. जेवढे अधिक मदतीचे हात पुढे येतील, तेवढी अधिक कोरोनाशी लढण्यास मदत होईल हाच यामागचा उद्देश आहे. आता मूळ भारतीय असलेली मिस इग्लंड 2019 भाषा मुखर्जी देखील डॉक्टर म्हणून रुग्णांची सेवा करण्यासाठी कामावर परतली आहे.

कोलकत्ता येथे जन्मलेल्या भाषा मुखर्जीने 2019 चा मिस इंग्लंड किताब जिंकला आहे. मूळ पेशाने डॉक्टर असणारी भाषा कोरोनाग्रस्तांच्या मदतीसाठी पुढे आली आहे.

What an ending to the YEAR ! WELL DONE @toniannsingh for smashing it last night , we felt so proud of you when watching you sing from back stage ! TRULY WE BLED GREEN LAST NIGHT WITH ALL ROUNDS DOMINATED WITH GREEN TEAM ! Medical school finals, miss England and then miss world… This year has been a year of preparing for exams one after another and I'm so glad I can finally take a breath ! So happy for all us girls who worked so hard , through blood sweat and tears , over coming so many personal battles and obstacles to put on the show last night ! मिस इंग्लंड किताब जिंकण्याआधी भाषा बोस्टॉन येथील पिलग्रिम हॉस्पिटलमध्ये ज्यूनिअर डॉक्टर म्हणून कार्यरत होती. तिने श्वसन समस्यांच्या औषधांवर स्पेशलयाझेशन केले आहे. किताब जिंकल्यानंतर ती अनेक चॅरिटी संस्थांसोबत राजदूत अँबेसेडर म्हणून काम करत आहे.

मात्र कोरोना व्हायरस महामारीच्या संकटाच्या काळात भाषाने आपला मिस इंग्लंडचा मुकुट बाजूला ठेवत रुग्णांसाठी काम करण्याचा निश्चय केला.

भाषा म्हणाली की, मलाही पदवी का मिळाली हे आता माझ्या लक्षात येत आहे व या विशिष्ट क्षेत्रात काम करण्यासाठी यापेक्षा अधिक उत्तम वेळ काय असू शकते. माझ्यासाठी मिस इंग्लंड होणे आणि गरजेच्या वेळी इंग्लंडला मदत करण्यासाठी यापेक्षा चांगली वेळ असू शकत नाही.

भाषा मुखर्जी 9 वर्षांची असताना तिच्या कुटुंबाने कोलकत्ता सोडत इंग्लंडमध्ये स्थायिक होण्याचा निर्णय घेतला होता.
